1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing, browsing, registering for, donating through, creating a fundraiser on, or otherwise using AbegFundMe,
you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.
These terms apply to organizers, donors, visitors, account holders, and anyone interacting with the platform.
2. Eligibility and accounts
To use some parts of the platform, you may be required to register an account, provide contact details, complete identity checks,
and keep your information accurate and up to date.
You agree to:
- Provide truthful, complete, and accurate information.
- Keep your login credentials secure.
- Take responsibility for activity carried out through your account.
- Use the platform only for lawful and legitimate purposes.
AbegFundMe may suspend, restrict, or close accounts that contain false information, impersonate others,
or otherwise create risk for the platform or community.
3. Campaign rules and organizer duties
Organizers must ensure that every campaign published on AbegFundMe is honest, lawful, and not misleading.
Fundraisers must clearly explain the purpose of the campaign and how the money will be used.
Organizers must not:
- Create fake campaigns or misrepresent a cause, person, organization, emergency, or project.
- Use another person’s identity, photos, documents, or story without authority.
- Raise funds for illegal, deceptive, abusive, or prohibited activities.
- Provide false updates, false urgency, fabricated medical claims, or misleading financial claims.
- Attempt to use the platform to launder money, evade compliance checks, or move suspicious funds.
Organizers may be required to provide identity records, supporting documentation, proof of purpose,
proof of beneficiary relationship, or other verification material before campaigns are approved, before visibility is increased,
or before withdrawals are processed.
4. Donations, withdrawals and platform fees
Donations made through the platform are processed through the platform’s enabled payment flow and may be subject to payment provider handling,
transaction review, platform review, or temporary delay where necessary for safety, compliance, or fraud prevention.
Campaign creation may be free, but platform fees may apply in connection with withdrawals, promotion features,
transaction handling, or other services depending on current platform settings.
Withdrawal requests may require identity approval, account review, matching of withdrawal details to verified user information,
and any other checks the platform considers necessary before funds are released.
5. Fraud, suspicious activity and withheld or seized funds
AbegFundMe reserves the right to pause, reject, suspend, reverse, recover, seize, or withhold campaign funds,
account balances, pending withdrawals, or platform-accessible proceeds where the platform reasonably suspects fraud,
misrepresentation, fake identity use, policy abuse, prohibited fundraising, suspicious financial activity, or any conduct
that threatens donor trust, legal compliance, or platform integrity.
This may include situations where:
- A campaign is found or reasonably suspected to be fake, deceptive, or materially misleading.
- An organizer used false documents, false statements, or another person’s details.
- The platform receives credible reports suggesting fraud or misuse of funds.
- There is evidence of unusual donation patterns, chargeback risk, payment abuse, or suspicious account activity.
- A user attempts to bypass review, manipulate reporting systems, or withdraw funds under false pretenses.
In such cases, AbegFundMe may take one or more of the following actions without prior notice where necessary:
- Pause or unpublish the campaign.
- Freeze the related account or limit platform access.
- Hold funds pending further investigation.
- Decline or reverse a withdrawal request.
- Seize or retain funds where required to protect donors, enforce policy, or respond to legal or compliance obligations.
- Share relevant records with payment partners, legal advisors, regulators, or law enforcement where appropriate.
Where the platform determines that funds should not be released to the organizer, AbegFundMe may decide,
in its sole but reasonable discretion and subject to operational, legal, and payment-provider constraints,
whether funds are held, returned, offset against losses, or otherwise managed in a way that protects the platform and affected parties.
Use of the platform does not guarantee a right to withdraw all funds raised if trust, legality, authenticity,
or compliance becomes materially questionable.
6. Content, conduct and prohibited use
Users remain responsible for the text, photos, campaign updates, profile content, and other material they submit.
By posting content on AbegFundMe, you confirm you have the right to use and publish it.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Fraudulent, defamatory, deceptive, abusive, threatening, or unlawful content.
- Harassment, impersonation, or privacy invasion.
- Uploading malicious code, spam, bots, scraping tools, or automation that disrupts platform operations.
- Using the platform to facilitate illegal financial activity or evade internal review systems.
AbegFundMe may edit visibility, restrict access, remove content, or close accounts where content or conduct violates these rules.
7. Privacy and information we collect
To operate the platform, we may collect personal and operational information including account details, profile details,
device and usage information, fundraising content, transaction records, withdrawal details, verification information,
communications, and technical logs.
Information may include:
- Name, email address, phone number, username, country, and profile details.
- Identity verification data and related supporting documents where required.
- Campaign content, updates, images, and fundraiser details.
- Donation and withdrawal information, including payment references and transaction records.
- Browser, device, IP address, session logs, and usage behavior.
- Support messages, reports, moderation records, and compliance review notes.
8. How we use your information
We use collected information to operate, improve, secure, and administer the platform.
Uses may include:
- Creating and managing accounts and campaigns.
- Processing donations, withdrawals, and related platform operations.
- Providing support, account notices, transactional emails, and important updates.
- Performing trust, safety, moderation, identity, fraud, and compliance checks.
- Improving platform design, performance, reporting systems, and user experience.
- Protecting the platform, users, donors, and payment flows from abuse or misuse.
9. When we may share information

AbegFundMe takes reasonable administrative, technical, and operational steps to protect platform data.
However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Users should keep credentials safe,
use strong passwords, and promptly notify the platform of suspicious account activity.
We may retain data for operational, legal, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, moderation, and safety purposes,
even after certain account actions, where reasonably necessary.
11. User rights and account controls
Subject to platform requirements, legal obligations, and fraud prevention needs, users may be able to update profile information,
contact the platform about their data, or request changes relating to certain account information.
Requests to delete or restrict account information may be limited where data must be retained for transaction history,
fraud review, trust and safety records, compliance obligations, legal defence, or platform integrity.
13. Liability and disclaimers
AbegFundMe provides a platform for fundraising and donations but does not independently guarantee every campaign,
every statement made by an organizer, or every intended use of funds.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the platform is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental,
or special losses arising from campaign content, organizer conduct, donor decisions, platform delays, third-party payment issues,
or enforcement actions taken in good faith to protect users and the platform.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes to these terms
AbegFundMe may update these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes,
legal requirements, trust and safety updates, or operational improvements.
Continued use of the platform after changes become effective means you accept the revised terms.
